Who are we looking for? 

We’re looking for an AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team. 

Working with cross-functional teams, you will deliver new capabilities and features to our award-winning SaaS products that serve public safety, healthcare, and Fortune 500 organizations. 

As we shift to our next-generation architecture, your new features will be developed using cloud-native technologies, patterns, and philosophies, including AWS, Containerization, and DevOps/SRE. 

You’ll work closely with your product owner and a team of other software engineers to ensure that the SaaS product we’re delivering meets our industry-leading standards of quality.

Your duties and responsibilities: 
  • Work as a software engineer developing, delivering, and maintaining features such as infrastructure code, our build and release platform, or customer-facing features
  • Maintain and ensure compliance in a high-performance production environment
  • Deliver your work in a reliable and maintainable manner by writing clean, testable code
  • Actively participate in planning work for the team via our scrum ceremonies
  • Identify ways to improve the team that you work with
  • Perform technical requirement gathering for new initiatives and features that the team takes on
What we expect from you: 
  • Experience with AWS Cloudformation, Autoscaling, EKS, etc. 
  • Familiarity with Python, Typescript, C#, or similar language 
  • Desire to work in an operations environment that aspires to DevOps and SRE principals
  • Strong aptitude for a software development approach to infrastructure as code
  • You are interested in CI/CD and can discuss various strategies for deployment
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience

It’s a plus if: 

  • You’ve worked on a multi-tenant SaaS or PaaS product
  • You have experience with Windows in production
  • You’ve had success containerizing applications
  • You have worked with Jenkins, MSBuild and/or ephemeral build agents
  • Have knowledge of persistence technologies which include relational and/or non-relational databases
  • You’ve delivered scalable solutions using cloud-native patterns and technologies, such as 12-factor app methodology
  • You have experience with microservice architectures, service-oriented architectures, or other distributed architectures
  • You have experience with tools that support software development, such as source control, build automation, static code analysis, etc.
